IE--can't open???

Hi. I stumbled across a virus or something and it made the access to dos unoperatable with IE. I can't open yahoo messenger and MSN messenger. I finally figured out that by going into my real player I could download Foxfire. So now I'm online again but I still can't do anything with IE because I'm not able to gain access to dos when I try to open IE. Anyone have any suggestions on how to restore my IE? I've run AVG, Ad-ware, Webroot spysweeper and SpyCop. Thanks. Matthew.

 

Did you try this command to fix IE go to the Run and type sfc /scannow
it will ask you your original XP cd when finish reboot and see if thing are working...
