IE help???

I try to open Internet Explorer and before the page completely loads...I get a Internet Explorer error message and then the page closes and I get the cursed report error box.....Someone please help...this appears to be affecting other programs....

Well sorry to sound unhelpful, but I dont really have any more info. This kinda started out of the blue. I normally use mozilla to view internet pages but i keep IE on hand for updates to microsoft and such. I have deleted IE 7 beta and tried to reload IE 7 full version but it is still crashing or not opening at all and it just gives me this message. "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and must close." I have also attempted to use the restore points in order to go back before I started getting this issue. And it hasnt helped, so any help can and will be greatly appreciated.

 

I've had the same problem I can't use IE7 because it does the same thing to me. Not only did it keep giving me error messages every time I opened it I had to restart my computer in order for it to open and if I closed it and tried to open it again later I got the error messages again. My computer ended up getting so slow that I couldn't open programs so I just uninstalled it. I couldn't find much help for my problem all I found were these from Microsoft's web site I hope they help you: (The top link seemed to have more things for you to try to resolve the problem)

I didn't have a choice I uninstalled it a day after the release for the full version came out since everything got so bad it's good to know I'm not the only one with the problem tho. I tried all of their suggestions but none of them helped. I know I did the scan where you can see if your computer is ready for Windows Vista and it wasn't even close so I thought maybe my computer just isn't able to handle IE7 either.

Thanks for the help so far, but the issue doesnt stop there....just like you said I have tried the links and all the different "fixes" but to no avail. And like in another reply I have been redirected back to IE 6 but the issue is still there. I have been able to actual get a few pages to load without the error but it still periodically and randomly gives the error messages and closes down. Any other advice I will try as it comes but thanks so far.
