IE Hi-Jinks

I have recently figured out why i switched to firefox, IE just doesnt cut it. alas, the rest of the family still persists on using IE. that brings me to my question. In IE when you right click a link and select Open Link in New Window, the window opens, but the link does not load. Now, I have found in my computer the DSO.Exploit. I have gotten rid of it, but the window will still not load. Also, windows update isnt working. When i go to install the updates and patches, IE stops responding. I am running Win98SE, and the latest version of IE. Can anyone lend some help???

Since you are using Win98SE and having trouble with updates and links try this.

I am posting a link here, http://download.microsoft.com/downl...us/mcrepair.exe for the mcrepair tool. Just download and run it.
Be sure to answer "yes" to everything, that's important. When it's done just restart your computer and that should fix it.
