IE issue when multiple windows are open

Ok, so I have a user who has two IE windows constantly open. One of the windows is an application that refreshes every minute. Well, when she is working in the other IE app, she will then get kicked back to the first IE app that just did an automatic refresh. So basically she loses focus on her one program and gets thrown back to the other. Both are still open of course, but is there anything that can be done to stop it from throwing her back into the one IE window after it refreshes? Kinda puzzling.
