Hey, I'm new here, but I've been reading for a while, and I think this forums are great, I'm not much of a genious, but I can help a lot in some areas, so hopefully I will participate alot here on MG's.com.

Anyways my problem is on the other PC, the internet connection is working just fine because I can sign in to AIM, and Yahoo! Messenger, however I can't sign in to MSN, or access the internet explorer.

The thing was that I was removing some malware, a topic posted before, and I used Hijackthis! and the malware is gone, but now I'm really hoping someone can help me fix the MSN and Explorer thing.

    Thanks in advanced, Mookie.

    Hi Mookie,

Welcome to Major Geeks. :) Give us a little more info about what's going on, try to list specific things or events when you try these things.

    1. What happens when you try and access Internet Explorer, any error messages?

    2. What kind of anti-virus and firewall do you have installed?

    3. What is your Operating System and are you current on updates?

Alright when I access the internet I get the Page not Found thing error.
I have Norton 2005, but I cant activate it, and my firewall is Zone Alarm, no problems there, casue I have disabled it and stuff, so thats not what casuing it.
And I use XP Home, and it's up to date.

    1. What is the exact error message when trying to access the internet?

    2. Why can't you activate Norton 2005? Are you having problems with it or is it a trial version? Also, look down next to your clock and see if the Norton icon is there.

    3. Do you have the latest Service Pack for XP (sp2) installed? If so, it comes with a built-in firewall that needs to be disabled if you already have a firewall installed.

    4. Do you have any programs installed that are designed to prevent pop-ups, ad blocking, spam, anything like that?

    5. You can also try the steps here, http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;813444

Be sure and let us know, kind of curious about the Norton's thing and what you are using for virus protection.
