Is there a way to repair IE6 (XP sp2)? I seem to remember a time when you could go to add/remove programs choose IE, click remove, and you would be given the option to repair or remove. My problem is more with OE than just the browser, I don't suppose there is any way to just reinstall/repair OE is there?

Also, I have recently added my girlfriends HD to my PC, I now have an A,C,D (cd ROM),E (cdrw) and now her drives f, (local disk) and g (SYSTEM_SAV). The problem is I can't get my system to start in safe mode since the addition. And, lastly, is there any way to boot from the newly added f or g drives?

    Thanks,

    Brent

Have you tried reinstalling Service Pack 2 again?

No, I have not, I've had it installed for quite some time now and all has been fine, the OE problems just recently occurred. Would you suggest just doing that from the M$ website?

Before posting a repair fix for OE, what is the problem with it? Please post specific, word for word errors.

my apologies.................addresses not being saved as i have chosen.............nickname was chosen, it is displaying as full name (did the properties thing, double checked settings), emails to yahoo groups showing up on group homepage but not showing up in OE on my PC, and yes i have group e-mail settings configured properly............do not mean to sound sarcastic........just annoyed at PC.....all help is greatly appreciated...........it's almost one of those things that just 'don't seem right'....it's kinda hard to be any more specific than stated above, there are just some things that have suddenely changed for no reason. I do a regular scan w/ Spybot, Adaware, and old school (yet updated regularly) Giant Co. (now owned by M$) anti-spyware, I do not not feel as though this is a spyware/virus issue......although I could be wrong.

Again, my apologies, all/any help is greatly appreciated, thank you,

    Brent

So...your explanation seems jumbled to me, but is the jist of it that account settings are not saving?

Have you tried a new Windows user account to see if it makes any difference?
