I'm having problems with Internet Explorer 6.0. I have tried uninstalling it but it is no where to be found in the add/remove programs. This is the first time for me to have this problem so I don't know what to do. Does anybody know how to uninstall it?
The problem is thta it won't remove stuff from the history and goes really slow. I have tryed spyware removing stuff but it still does not work. Any help appriciated.

Open "Internet Properties" from Control Panel. Click the "Advanced" tab. At the bottom, click "Restore Defaults". That might help.
Also, might I suggest? Get a different browser. Their are several out there. Mozilla Firebird and Opera are a few good ones that are IE free.

If memory servers, you can't uninstall IE in WinXP. It's integrated so there's no removing it. Something else is likely the culprit. Which spyware tool are you using?

    Re: IE 6

Have you tried the ...Repair.... part of IE6?

    You should be able to : Start/Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs/
click IE6 (WinXP) click Change/Remove and as the installer comes up it gives and option to remove//modify// or REPAIR.

Try and see...it can't hurt...and it might let you know that there is a current patch available which you might not have installed.

    Good Luck,
As with most of us little people ....you are probably at the mercy of an arbitrary OS......until we gain the knowledge to do better!;)

OOPS! I am profusely apologising here....swatshark is correct...
I must have been on another machine/OS with IE6 installed/ME?
I have done this before...to that particular machine....

Look for your answer on :www.beemerworld.com
Has a slew of info on Windows.....bet it has the answer there,
again, my apology for steering you wrong
