IE Problems

Wasnt really sure where to put this so sorry if this is the wrong place.

I am having a problem with my computer and I am hoping someone here
can help me fix it.

The problem im having is every time I open Internet explorer all
I ever get is "The Page Cannot Be Found". No matter what I do thats
all it ever says. I have since switched to Avant Browser and even
that does the same thing except it works if I click on the "Load
Default" button in the options screen, but even then when I close
it then open it again it just does the same thing and I have to
reload the defaults again. Mozilla Firefox is the only Browser ive used
that doesnt do this but I dont want to use its annoying and slow, and
I want my IE back.

Also, I am having some problems with some Programs that I use which I
think is related to my IE problem because these problems started
hapening around the same time IE started playing up. The problem is
everytime I use a program that needs to conect to the Internet for
whatever reason, it always fails to connect. For example when a
Program needs to Update itself it always says it "cant find server"
or "make sure you are connected to the Internet" or whatever.

This all started hapening around a month or so ago when I tried to
install a new Program I wanted to try. During the installation of the
Program my computer completely froze, nothing I tried would get it to
do anything, so all I could do was turn my comp off at the wall, and
when I restarted it thats when these problems started to happen. Before
this my IE and my various Programs worked just fine.

Ive searched on Google and everything and cant find anything to help.
So I just want to know if anyone here knows of anyway I can fix these
problems I am having. Thanks.

 

So it works with Firefox but not with IE? I would say stay with Firefox because its better then IE.

Maybe a corrupt IE file, try to upgrade your IE if you can, maybe try to restore your computer to the day before it stopped working.

check firewall settings, or restore your IE to factory default settings
