IE settings question - probably simple!

I have a terrible dialup connection that usually runs 28.8. I have no choice in the matter as cable doesn't go by here, I'm out of sight of the wireless towers, and I'm not convinced about Hughes yet ($$$$$).

I have a simple website with no huge pictures or anything elaborate. It's ksdaddy.com (not promoting here, just mentioned in case you wanted to see how truly basic it is). When I go to my own site, if the pics aren't already stored in temp files somewhere, the pics will usually only load the upper 10-20% unless I keep hitting refresh. I have a short gif loop on my index page now and I've hit the refresh button at least 50 times and it still won't load "all" of it.

It's like IE "times out" after attempting to load something. I know my connection is crap, but isn't there some way for me to set it where it will not give up until all pics are loaded? There's probably something in the advanced IE settings but I get lost in the vernacular.

Thanks in advance for any help to an IE dummy.

Your site loaded fully for me. Funny gif. Nice site.

Try creating a new user account, log into it & use that IE.

i'd maybe try another browser to see if it makes a difference? either safari (Size: 18.6 MB), or firefox (Size: 5.75 MB).

it'd be better if you had access to another comp, d/l the program(s) (and mabe a flashdrive, or cd drive to burn a cd), then take it home and install on your comp (otherwise, it might take all day).

you haven't mentioned what os you have (unless i missed it), and what version of ie you are using?

i have xp, and i normally use netscape, ie6 next (with sites that don't like netscape), or lately have used firefox. i have started to somewhat use safari (more recently). i don't know if it loads as quick as it says, but it's pretty decent (no complaints here). - g/l, sos
