alright well when im watching something online like a video or a movie it downloads itself on to a temporary folder in C drive correct? How can i change where it downloads the temporary file? Because my C drive has like 300kb space left and alot of times when im downloading it starts giving me messages like its very low etc.. so i would like to download it to G drive which has 16GB of free space. PLZ HELP

P.S yes i know there not alot of space on C drive.. ive freed pretty much all i can but im planning on transfering everything to a bigger harddrive (300 or 400GB) because the one im on currently is only 80GB

after continuing my search for an answer i found it. Im gonna post the solution for anyone who had the same questions

    Using IE
    -------------
    1) Go to Tools
    2) Then Internet Options
    3) In the General Tab under Browsing History go to Settings
    4) click on move folders , then just select a new folder.

Windows uses drive C: as a virtual and temporary storage area similar to RAM, and it always is caching files to and from drive C: In order for WinXP to run well, it's recommended to ALWAYS have a minimum of 2gb or 3gb free on drive C. Even if you change the temp location to a different drive, Windows will ALWAYS use drive C for paging, caching, and similar operations.... grab some blank DVD's and burn some movies and/or music off of C: to a few DVD's. At 4.7gb per disc, you can free up some space quickly this way. If the PC is running OK, you can free up space by emptying the system restore cache by temporarily tunring off system restore, rebooting, then turning system restore on again, then set a new restore point. Have you run some drive cleaners? With a drive as full as yours, you may want to run more than one drive cleaning utility. Personally, I recommend CleanUp!, CCleaner, Zappit!, and ATF Cleaner. All are free and available here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads12.html Use the freeware version of CleanUp! by Steven Gould and not the shareware version...
