IE vs. Firefox

Hi!

In the MG recommendations to protect your computer, Mozilla Firefox is recommended as a browser instead of IE. Has anyone here written a helpful sticky, essay, treatise, dissertation... on the pros and cons of each, including helpful instructions on how to get and use Firefox?

Any comments would be appreciated.
