IE6 address bar dropdown stored sites list

Without clearing the visited sites history from the internet options menu manually or by the days expiration selection, I find the list is cleared on occasion when I open the browser and check. Anyone have a plausible explanation?.....maybe I'm deleting a history or recent sites checkbox etc. when scanning with Spybot. I tend to remove or delete everything I think is safe to do so. Next time I scan I'll look closer to see if if I'm inadvertantly clearing the dropdown while deleting or removing while in Spybot.

 

if you clear IE history in any way , shape or form.. you will clear the addy list.
