    Hi

Are you fully upto date with all Windows updates for your XP version?

What IE version are you using?

Is this happening in only one specific website or many that use similar ActiveX?

What is the ActiveX thats faulting is it a media one like Adobe Flash, Sun Java or a custom one from the website itself, if any one of these make sure that you have latest version.

Have you tried a different browser say Opera or Firefox to see if same issues arise?

well windows updates are up.. its just when accessing a certain site that uses specific active x controls. the description seems very generic. 0.0.0.0 0x00000000

    Hello There,

Try upgrading the IE6 to a later version lets say IE7 or IE8 and see if you get the same problem if so post the details again here.

    hopefully this should solve it

If the issue is with just one site, it could be a problem on their end, not yours.

ya update to IE8 or better yet firefox3 when you use old browsers you slowdown web development not to mention they get buggy as hell due to fewer and fewer updates for them are available

all 200 users are on ie7 and can access the same site without any issues. we have not implemented IE8 yet here...

ya but still ie 6 and 7 are really not that different when you get into imho at least if it does it in ie8 and FF3 you can get a good base line to get the problem resolved
and when i said about the web develop thing that was more towards ie6 then 7 but i think still applies to 7 or FF2 or any older browser and if developers didn't have to make sure the older browsers still work the web would move forward allot faster not to mention security and like you said "it has not been implemented hear yet"... but it will
