I'm using IE6 to download an .ISO of Fedora 6. It's a big download (3.2gb) and I expected it to take some time, no biggie. But the weird thing is this: it started out at -200% or so (-223 or -232 or something) and then after awhile was at 624% (not negative) and now it's at 228% (I just now saw it drop to 227%).... what's up with that?!?!?! It started at a negative number, then jumped to 700% or so, and now it's counting down... it did NOT start at 0% and go up!!! If it was normal, I'd be at about 65% to 70% (I'm at about 2.38gb downloaded out of 3.2gb total with 2+ hrs remaining). Has anyone seen anything like this before? Am I wasting my time- will this download be OK???? It's also downloading really slow; at 110k +/- when I usually get 350k up to 700k (or more). This is just a standard download, not a torrent or a p2p thing, just a regular old download... weird. confused

I cant help answer your question. But I can suggest you use a download program, I use Free Download Manager but there are others. I personally use Mozilla Firefox but no matter which browser you use I should imagine these kind of programs are much better than the normal built in downloaders. They split the file into bits like a torrent program would therefore speeding up the proccess and making it more efficient. And provide loads of other cool options too.

    :)
