Hi, all! I've got a user running XP/Pro SP2 (latest patches) who is suddenly getting a dialog titled "Locate link executable" with a file dialog when he clicks on a hyperlink in an email message (Outlook 2k3). The links are kosher (work fine from other machines), and his file type for HTML/HTM is still set for IE. A search of Google, TechNet, and MS KB turn up absolutely ZERO.

Anyone seen this before? Normal hyperlinks on webpages still function fine, but links in emails now have this dialog popping up!

    Help!! :)

Easiest probable fix: just point the dialog box to c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe via the "browse" option.

Other possible fixes include: opening IE, going to tools, options, program tab, and clicking "Reset web settings", or this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821692/en-us

    Best of luck!
