IE7 Beta problems

I stupidly try to install IE& beta but did not back up and/or create a restore point prior to the attempted installation and now my computer doesn't work. i get a message that it cannot locate iertutil.dll and to reinstall the program. that's the last thing I want to do. I have tried to uninstall the beta but cannot find it in the ad/remove programs file. what can I do to get this back to the prior state and never install anything again without first setting a restore point?
