IE7 Disaster

Hrmm ok how to explain this .... Ill just start at the beginning. I formatted my Fiance's desktop computer then WAS running Windows 2k SP4 professional edition. it is now running Windows XP home SP2 with .Net framework 2.0 sp1 i upgraded IE6 to IE7 and now Internet Explorer Crashes everytime i open it. i cant install updates via the internet or the update wizard dealy. worse even is that when IE7 crashes soon after the entire computer reboots. Ive ran AVG for viruses, None. I Ran Avg's spyware tool, None. I defraged the computer and restored it to fresh install. and everytime i try to revert back to IE6 a warning comes up that says something along the lines of some random 30 gagillion programs rely on IE7 and if i uninstall it they wont work and as soon as i finish reading it the computer reboots again. but the problem seems triggered by IE7. CAN ANYONE HELP? are there any Freeware utilities i can use to see if there is some problem im mission on the computer. i have been trying to get this stupid thing running right for weeks. one problem after another hence the xp upgrade.

 

Try to uninstall IE7,and see if the problem persist.If not install IE7 again.About programs rely on IE7,just ignore and continue with uninstall.
