IE7 no longer connecting

Out of the blue my ie7 is not connecting to any web page, while maxthon is still working fine.As far as I know, I haven't monkied with ie7 settings so any help would be appreciated.Here is my hijackthis file if this would help:

First thing I would try is to default everything.

Click Tools > Internet Options > Click on the Advanced Tab and click the Reset button at the bottom.

 

Tried the reset, same, gives me a cannot display web page error for any page i try to goto.I have run several spyware programs too and removed anything they have picked up

 

Have you tried another browser? Does it allow you to access the internet?

Also, using the Reset button defaults and removes all settings in IE even the homepage.

 

I am using Maxthon currently, which while it uses IE as a base, it seems to be running fine.I put my home page back to what it was in IE7 and it still won't connect to anything,not a webpage.Could I have gotten a virus or spyware which attacked and essentially shutdown IE7 and if so how can I get it back in use?

 

How do you connect to the internet? Cable, DSL, Satellite, Dialup??

If you use a broadband connection..

Under Tools > Internet Options > Connections Tab > LAN Settings button. Is there anything checked?
