while I use FF almost exclusively, there are times I find I need to use IE. My question is what happened to the bar at the top that has File, edit, bookmarks, etc? It was there with IE6 but not 7. What am I doing wrong? thanx.

Microsoft changed a few things and by default they do not have it in the right place nor do they show it without manually telling it to.

Download IE 7 Tweak Utility and save to your desktop.

Run this and check the options that apply. This will display the Menu Bar where it should be.:)

Can you not just right click on the grey bar next to the tab for example and tick "Menu bar"?

That should make the options appear :)

Yes! You can right click and check "Menu Bar" but it will not be in the correct place due to MS's new location for it. Using IE Tweak will alow you to view it and set it in the right place. It's just weird without it being at the top. lol
