IE7 slow to connect and search

Im running xp home sp3, I have just had to do a clean install, I screwed it up, but everything up and running now, except IE7. I have run virus and spyware scans,ran ccleaner, re-installed the program, checked my defaults.
Ive run out of ideas, ...can anyone help please :-o
OOOOPs, forgot to say Im on ethernet.

 

have you checked your firewall settings. Firewalls can sometimes slow down IE browsers to connect to the internet but it's normal its just protecting the browses and also do you have spybot S&D installed that too can slow down the browsers.

Thanks sexy..I ran a check on that and my internet connections..... still no joy Im afraid. Do you think a hammer would help:hammer
