    Hi all,

I have recently upgraded my xpsp2 machine to ie7 and mp11.

My issue that I hope somone can help me with is whenever I start ie7, it always goes to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx.

The address finally resolves to a page offering me a tour of ie etc. Good grief! It's only a browser!!!!

I have set a home page and it appears in the list.

Is this a bug or am I just expecting micro$oft to leave me alone...which they will never do!

Perhpas I am doing something wrong?

    Any help greatly appreciated

    Start, IE7.

Click on Tools, Internet options, advanced tab, then select the button "Reset". Does this help?

    Hi theefool,

Thanks for the tip, but, no it doesn't fix it.

It did start off differently then ended back at the same screen. Still can't get it to go to my home page before go.microsoft page

I tried to send 2 screen grabs - newbie to this - they uploaded, but not sure where they went!

and a registry fix for that issue, which saves me typing the same info.

but a cavet from me, is if you have Spybot S&D installed disable it and any other simialr software while you attempt these, especailly the registry changes as SpyBot S&Ds protection blocks register changes as a security matter, which causes issue when installing some software... which is why many of the install instructions tell you to turn off security software.

    Hi Halo,

    Perfect.

Thankyou very much for your help...so easy when you know how!!

Annoys me that the browser wont let you do this directly...although I guess I'm annoyed by every Micro$oft does! Period.

    :)
