IE8 DEP error

    My husband downloaded an update for IE8 on his computer and now he can't get onto the internet at all without getting the DEP error.

    Any suggestions? I looked at uninstalling ie8 but it scared me when it said that other updates might not work if I did that.

    I ran CCleaner and Malwarebytes but nothing is found. I also have SuperAnti-Spyware running. HELP???!!!

    I would definately try uninstalling it, I had installed it & got so many errors I uninstalled in within 2 hours, just my experience

    (Dell Latitude 820-2 gb RAM, XP Pro)

    Thank you. I did end up doing that. Now he has that new Microsoft "BING" toolbar at the top. I thought that was just part of IE8.

    Somehow I get the feeling that I can't trust Microsoft anymore; but thanks so much for the afirmation that uninstalling it was the best answer.
