IE9 Question

I am currently running IE8 on Windows XP and was pondering upgrading to IE9. The Microsoft download page states that IE9 is for Vista and Windows 7 only. Your download page states that it is for all versions of Windows, but when you download the file, it has Windows 7 in the title(and you have special instructions for Vista users). My question is...can I upgrade to IE9 running Windows XP? Thanks!

Earthling is correct. IE9 is only for windows vista/7 only, Windows xp has to stay with IE8.

 

Yep Window Vista and windows 7 can only use IE 9 & 10

Xp is stuck with IE 8

IE 8 is much better and faster any way lol

 

Got any support - and I mean good support - for that statement? If not, then I have to disagree with it.

 

yep i seen and used all three versions and i still say IE 8 is faster the IE 9 and 10 are kinda bloated too much visual as well.

 

I greatly appreciate all the input from my inquiry. Now..my question is this...can I keep IE8 as my default browser, but download a different browser to stream an online video(which is not compatible with IE8)? Many thanks for your assistance!!
