What exactly are you doing when this occurs? Looks like instant messeging...anything else? Could go to control panel / admin tools / event viewer and look in system and applications for error messages ....usually a link as to info on the error.

It happens only when I close IE Browser window sometimes, or when ones open.. and it hasnt got anything to do with MSN because when I just have IE open its done it when nothing else is running, even in the background

From the classic mode you are running, I'm assuming this is xp.

Have you tried re-installing sp2 for xp?

Thanks, I`ll give that link a go.

theefool, it is indeed XP, and no I haven't tryed to install SP2 over it again, it's an IE error, and this isn't the only PC it's done it on, it's done it on my old machine also. simialar set, only diffrence is it was 2.8GHz and Intel chipset board.

I cannot remember though if it did it before I downloaded all the updates for XP Pro off windows update site, I think it did, just cannot confirm for certainty....

I`ll let you know what happens...

It does not do it every time, say 3 times a day, maybe...

Could it be a driver issue with my videocard? I also remember a fair few years ago, that a videocard I had was causing problems because of a driver issue...

Did what program (CCleaner?) Have you tried Firefox as the browser and is that when it did it again?
Have you looked in the control panel / admin. tools / event viewer / system and application errors?
