IEXPLORE.EXE running at 2000+ handles

A while ago i was watching an online quicktime photoshop tutorial when i closed all internet explorer windows the tutorial was frozen on the screen and i could not end the process in the end i had to reboot to clear the screen, I have noticed that my internet explorer is named in all uppercase and when run the handle count runs up to sometimes about 2500, which i think is wrong. I have run mcafee, spybot, adaware and microsoft antispy and no viruses or malware found I have contacted mcafee and asked them about this and they said that IEXPLORE.EXE is the valid filename. google search found W32/Rbot-EZ but IEXPLORE.EXE is not in my startup list or in system32 folder ,it is in c/programfiles/internetexplorer the correct place. also on some occasions when i close internetexplorer it still shows up in task manager. Is there something wrong or am I just paranoid, I only use firefox now and at the moment runs at about 231 handles, help!
