   Computer Acolyte Private First Class

   Something keeps loading iexplore into my memory and after a while alt ctrl del shows up to 7-15 iexplores running in the background.
   I'm looking for ways to figure out what's doing this, any ideas?
   
   I'm running Win98SE.

   a quick way to test reboot and before opening IE look in Task Manager > Processes and if iexplore is there you most likely have a virus/trojan or some spyware.
   
   as karl said checkout the sticky threads in the Spyware forum.... but do run Ad-Aware and use one of the online AV scans like Trends Housecall.
