ifo. to divx insanity

I have copyed my dvd using DVDFab on my comp its now 7bg on my hardrive and its in ifo and vob files.. quite alot.. i copyed it so all the extras where present as well and dont want to lose them..

now am looking for a freeware program that will convert this into just one file(nothing missed out) at a smaller rate.. I know if u just convert the ifo file then all the vobs will follow

I have tried autogk but it breaks down at the very last part...

is there anything else that I can use that works with vista and doesnt have a trail period ..

why not try dvdshrink, it copies the dvd a lot smaller and very easy to use (about 4.4gb),
its also free here on mg

am trying that now but its still creating vob files

 

DVDShrink just reduces a large DVD to 4.34gb for burning to a standard blank DVD but still in DVD format.

Try DrDivx http://majorgeeks.com/Dr._DivX_d5208.html for converting to divx/avi format. You can just rename the finish file frim *.divx to *.avi and it will open in your media player.

I've had it work when AutoGk fails.

Also look for some posts by Dlb he has tried many softwares for converting and often gives links in his replies to converting threads.

thanks i will give them a go as well nothing seems to work as of yet... they keep crashing or coming up with errors ...

i will let you know how this software handles

 

handbrake was a no no couldnt install it properly..
