Recently I came across an article from one of my subscriptions may have been Technet..?

It mentioned that Iframes are in essence the new cookies, as far as exploits go, so even though you have cleared your cookies the Iframe remains and can be used and exploited...?

The thing is the Iframe apparently is similar to a web browser "object" ( if i recall the article correctly).

It also has the potential to link through to other sites, these sites can apparently then download all sorts of malware inc. password expliots, account escalation software amongst the usual spam and trojans etc...

I am far from any kind of web developer, I am a reatively new network admin and of course want to protect the security and integrity of my works network.

The material I read also calimed that over 55,000 sites have this Iframe vulnerability, also that many I.T pro's were not aware of this?? The only other thing I recall, is that it mentioned an "Iframe" was required as part of the Flash Player. Maybe other apps???

I dont mean to panic anyone.. not trying to scare the world, just wondering if anybody, with superior knowledge and skill, had info on this to share...

    Cheers.:wave
