I am looking for an IIS 7 Guru to answer a few questions. I have websites using the redirect in IIS 6 that work just fine but when I move those sites to IIS 7 and turn on the redirect, they don't work. I'm sure it's something simple I'm missing in 7.

Any help is certainly appreciated asap.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Yea, I've been through that. I do the source and destination folders, I have the correct code in the web.config file in the source but it still doesn't work. All the code in the website is identical to the code from the IIS 6 site. It's definitely IIS 7 related. Driving me nuts, short drive, I know.

The main problem I'm having now is this: The redirect works fine from the source drive (some physical location separate from the secure location) to the destination drive (the secure site). But Flex is then going to the wwwroot directory to look for the cfc files that are located back in the destination location.

Is there a setting somewhere in IIS 7 that needs to tell Flex to stop doing that?

    Thanks,

    Dave

To clarify the problem just a bit, here is a more detailed explanation of what is going on:

We develop our websites using Cold Fusion and Flex. Because some of the data our clients store in our databases is sensitive, we have a Secure Certificate installed on the directory .../inetpub/sslroot. All our secure clients
websites reside under sslroot. In order to access the certificate, a user
logging into a site, say, at .../inetpub/sslroot/ClientSite/loginfile.cfm
must be redirected back to .../inetpub/sslroot. In order to accomplish this
redirect, IIS 7 has a redirect icon to set it up. However, to prevent an
endless loop, you have to first redirect to a physical location somewhere
other than under inetpub/sslroot. I have put the redirect to
.../inetpub/wwwroot/ClientSite. This is where IIS 7 drops a web.config file
that shows where the redirect actually goes. In this case it goes to
    https://securecertificatename.companyname.com/ClientSite.

That all works just fine. A person goes to the website, gets the login
screen from ClientSite and logs in. This is where the trouble begins. A
Flash screen appears that needs to access some cfc files located in a
directory at ...inetpub/sslroot/ClientSite/cfc but, instead, it looks for
the files at ...inetpub/wwwroot/ClientSite/cfc and because those files are
not there, an error is thrown.

The trouble is that all this works just fine using IIS 6. The redirect is
done a little differently and that's why I think it's an IIS 7 issue and not
    Flex or Coldfusion.

Hope that helps define more clearly my problem.
