    Hi,

I've bought a new pc, on which XP Professional SP2 is installed.

I want to install ISS, I have a regular XP Pro installation cd-rom, but it doesn't work, it asks for a SP2 cd-rom (I don't have that).

Anyone know how to get ISS to work on SP2?

I haven't found anything yet on the web, there are more people with this problem.

    thanks

I hope I haven't posted in the wrong forum.

Hmmm...is it not done via Windows Components in Add/Remove Programs?
I went there and selected IIS on a SP2 machine, and I wasn't prompted for a CD at all....

It is installed via add/remove windows components. Sounds like this is an OEM install.

    Correct?

If so, the servicepacksourcepath registry key is messed up.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

Right hand side...it should point to the location of your cached SP2 files.
