I'll Take The Poo Poo Platter Please.......

I donno, know, I just get such a kick out of seeing that on the menu when I go into a Chinese Restaurant.

Some of those recipes are very ancient, and are considered delicacies by people who are at least as strange as us. I would be scared to order something that had Poo Poo in the name. Ya just never know,,,,,,

 

muskybob, have you seen the new commercial for Chiclets gum? ...the gum pieces are talking about five things that sound dirty, but aren't; Uranus, cocktail, poo-poo platter, kumquat, and masticate.

(Yeah, dining on a poo poo platter kinda kills the pleasure of anticipation.)

 

Well, I haven't had the "guts" to try it yet, but I've made up my mind that I'm just gonna do it next time.

the word (at least in hawaii) is pupu and it means snacks or apitisers. now i dont know if its hawaiian or chinese ?

Exactly right. It's just a plate of appetizers. Mini-ribs, paper wrap chicken-on-a-stick, stuff like that. I've had it many a time. Yummy

Its a bastardized polynesian name. Its a sample platter with a small buner in the center to heat the food. At least thats how they serve it here.

 

Chinese food, Yummy!!!! Not sure of that dish, but I would try it. It is probably something with little dough balls in it. Maybe a stir fry of some sort or a type of rice dish. Go for it and let me know how it was.

 

Oh, and its serves more than one so when you go, ask for a Poo Poo for two.

 

Aw, that will ruin all the fun afterwards.
