I'm A+ certified. Now what?

Folks,

I've recently taken and passed the CompTIA A+ Certification Exams (Core Hardware & OS Tech.).

Now, what do you IT Professionals and fella'-geeks feel is the next step as far as further certification? I was thinking of taking the CompTIA i-Net+ Certification and/or CompTIA Network+ Certification exams next...

Anyway, I know there are many options, but what would be the most-useful option next befor I begin searching for IT-type job?

Just searching for ideas.

actually, I would find an entry level job that will be willing to train you and send you to training. Get in now.

 

Congrats Are-Oh. I passed hardware and am working on OS part now (struggling bad). I'm going on to Net + next, but would love to find an entry level job to help things all "sink in".

your next certification depends on where you want to spend your life. personally, I would look at the CCNA (cisco certified network engineer).

 

I'd avoid CCNA unless you have a career lined up. It would be a better idea to go for MCSE or Unix certs, IMO. NetWare is by no means dead, but I've never seen somebody choose it over MS and Linux. 2k Server raided everything of real use from NetWare.

 

im close to A+ jus have to take the test this summer i have spent probably 200 hours studying for it so i think im ready, next in line is net + then the cisco certification, i gotta get those two in so my high school will pay for em , not me, well all the course material not the actual test but better than nothing
