Im Back With Another Major Drive Problem PLZ HELP!!!!!

My computer keeps restarting after while of me playing games, going on certain web cites, or me jus leaving it alone, and after it boots it asks me to send an error report

Error message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER

I know that you dint solve your hardware conflict problem with
AGP host to PCI bridge.
If you have learned anything in that thread use your knowldge for a clean install of your chipset drivers.

 

(that sounds kind of insulting)well i guess i havnt because i dont know how to install chipset drivers(i know how to install and unstall things but i dont know if that comes from a cd or something or what cd) the person that put my computer together is in a whole different state so i couldnt ask him.

Tell me how you fixed it?

If you did install the new display drivers then the cause may be
your chipset driver.But you are not geting that error anymore.
Tell me what games cause this.
And I dont remember telling us which Graphic Card you have.

The most likely cause is your drivers.I say this because I read what you
went through to repair your chipset drivers when you couldnt boot into your system(the driver uninstall instructions from nvidia to uninstall the new version of your driver that were causing problems).

Download the NF2 driver for your OS.

If the other link doesnt work try this.
You will need to navigate to the download section and then to the utility section where the NF2 drivers are kept.
Asus says this version is newer than at the nvidia site.

If you have allready installed the chipset drivers cleanly,you can skip this stuff.
Anyway Asus has a driver on there website and this is what they say:

NForce2 all in one version 1.16 driver for WinXP.
Due to different naming rules, this 1.16 driver, though named 1.16, is still newer than the one on NVIDIA website. The detail information are:
Audio 3.17 (WHQLed)
Enet 2.81 (WHQLed)
GART 2.78 (WHQLed)
SMBus 2.75 (WHQLed)
MemCtl 2.75 (WHQLed)

If it is a driver problem,reinstall the drivers after uninstalling the old ones.
If that doesnt work your graphic card may need to be changed.

you can navigate manualy from the earlier link I gave you to the UTILITIES section
that is where the NF2 driver is.

 

Also reinstall the graphic card drivers.

I think this is the latest version.

Try the graphic card driver reinstall first(before the chipset driver).

Those are the bios.
For chipset drivers look in the utilities tab or go to nvidia site.

Its so long since you last came online I am surprised you havent fixed it yet.
If installing the new drivers dont work for you then consider replacing your graphic card.
Ask the store where you got the computer to fix it for you.

 

Try installing DirectX 9c also.

 

lol, im suprised too.
The only problem is that my comp. isnt store bought, it was built by a relative using computer show parts, and whats even worse, he doesnt live in NY anymore.

 

have you tried going into the BIOS and loading the failsafe defaults?

 

i dont even know what that is, keep in mind, i dont know that much about computers
