I dont know if this is the right forum but it looked the best for this question. Ok apparently AIM hacking programs do exist and Im a victim of it right now. This kid is hacking my password on AIM and i keep changing it but he keeps figuring it out thanks to his program. I deleted my BL so he cant talk to anyone though. Is there anything I can do to keep this kid off and secure my SN from being hacked?

what i would do is delete the account. wait a few days, then get a new one with the same screen name.

That is one of the bad things of AIM.

Heres what I would do, I would use the netstat command in the command prompt to find out what his IP address is and it will also tell you the ISP in there too. Then contact the ISP and tell them that one of there customers is doing this.

neonemisis: aim does not let users see the ip of other users. you said you can if you use direct connect, which i doubt, and in any case, the other party has to accept. secondly, most of these people have no idea what you are talking about when you talk about netstat.

lol alright. well, i guess since I'm a bit tired i didn't really feel like explaining much in that last post (kinda just said netstat and didn't explain). i also missed out on the part about direct connection.

to help out with the problem you can contact AOL and have them see who else is connecting to your screenname (they can check the other IP address of any one on any screen name-believe my cousin had to do it since hers got hacked. Then they can find out more information on this IP address and contact that person through AIM or other means. They can also ban that user from using AOL servers. But a downside to this is that AIM doesn't have a ton of support since AOL doesn't encourage people to use it since its free. The tech support for aim is terrible.

If s/he knows your password every time you change it, the hacker either has access to your computer or your email account.
