im going to go crazy . somthing is wrong with my computer

ok this is the 3rd tech site. my specs are
cpu:athlon 64 2.00 3200+ fine procceser
video card: saphfire x850 xt pci express
ram: 512 of 2 265 sticks 3200 hynix. getting 2 512 sticks of corsair 4200.
video card is updated to 5.6
chipset is updated to 5.7
i get 70 fps in counterstrike source and lower in battlefield 2 and other games.
some guy told me that i should be getting about 300 fps with my specs.
i have an emachine also

i hope u can help me out with my problems.

 

yah I'm having the same problem lol, I'm getting like 70 or so FPS on games such as CS or Doom 3, and Half life 2 lags like a bitch and heats my comp wayyy up there, specs

multiprocessor 3.0ghz processor
1 gig of memory 2 512 sticks
ati radeon x800 xl pci-e

 

you need to stop listening to some guy. You didnt state what the problem was, and by those sys specs 70fps sounds about right, get more ram to get some better performance. FPS all depeneds on what settings you play.

 

he also said the settings should be all the way up with 300 fps. was that guy lieing or do i really need better and more ram

 

you might want to think about expaniding your ram, I personally have a gig, I use just about much as you have, but that's because norton is always running with all these stupid vaio services, but what kind of programs do you run in the background when you play these games?

 

Download and run 3dmark 2003 and 3dmark 2005,your scores should be around the 12000 and 6000 mark respectively

 

i scored 5362 on 3dmark 2005 im pretty sure thats bad.

 

Thats the right score for your card,if you set the performance in your video card options to performance you should get just over 6000,also the games you have chosen are online games the fps also depends how many people you play against,try it find a server with 3 people in and look at your fps
