I'm having problems overclocking my Dell Laptop can anyone pls hep??? Thanks!!

Hi there everone,

I have a Dell Latitude Laptop with windows media center 2005, and I want to over clock it a bit..

Here is some information on the Dell laptop computer,

Dell Latitude
Intel Pentium III 497mhz 128mb ram
With a 11.2GB hard drive.

Can anyone please help me out with this that would be great Thanks

 

give us more info like model number, and we can go from there.

 

okay for sure, but I'm new with this laptop.. Where do i find the serial number etc. all that I can find is Dell Latitude intel pentium III etc.

Where do I go to find more information..

If you look on the base of the PC you should find a sticker with the info (Model No. etc), if not then download EVEREST Home and this will provide sufficient info:

Here is all of the information that I can find using this software..

Motherboard:

CPU Type: Mobile Intel Pentium IIIE, 500MHZ (5x100)
Motherboard Name: Dell Latitude CPx H500GT
Motherboard Chipset: Intel 824408BX/ZX
BIOS Type: Phoenix (05/28/02)

So you DL EVEREST and that was the extent of the report? Otherwise read the OC sticky at the top of this forum and have a look within your BIOS at your options.

I scolled down to the bottom of this forum and I don't see OC or anything like that. can you please send me a link of what you mean, that would be very much helpful..

The model No that you are looking for is PPX thats what it says on the sticker that you were talking about... let me know if this is any much of a help?

 

the only thing i could think of would be a pin-mod to take it from 100-133 FSB, or possibly a way to rig the multipliers to go higher.
