im reformating a hardrive

    i want to reformat a old computer nothing can really be lost its old and almost unusable i have no cd's no drivers cd's or anything to put back on the computer what can i do

    What kind of computer pentium 2 or 3 or 4 and how old ???

    its like 5 or more years old and its a dell i dont know about pentium its celeron and is on xp

    If you don't want to loose any files then you will need to back them up before reformatting.

    You may or may not be able to find drivers for your computer online. Try going to the Dell website and doing a search using your computers model or serial number. If they no longer provide support or drivers for your computer, it might be difficult to track down exactly which drivers you will need and where they are available for download.

    Wait, if you don't have an XP installation CD once you format then the computer really will be unusable.
