Im ruined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!................Plz HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK.............i installed Windows 2000 on ME.............and after that i had to reformat c: for some problems..................and after that .............BOOM...........every thing on D: vanished........

I had several important files on D:

Is there anyway i can recover anything from D: ?

There is a thread called "How to recover daa from Formatted disk"..........but i cant find it now........

I will be online untill someone helps me!!!!!!!

did you install Win2000 to D:? if you did, did you tell it to format the drive before the install?

 

No..........i just format c:...............but has been also formatted.........it seems the FAT for d: is lost.

Is there any freeware will help in this situation??????????? somebody ?????????????? i am almost mad

I've used "GetDataBack For FAT" and I find that it works quite well. Though you have to pay for it.

Is the D: drive an actual drive or a partition. If it is a physical drive you may need to tell your cmos that the drive is there. If it is a partition a program like Partition Magic may help.

 

Take a look at Kodo's suggestion:

If the HDD is formatted you are less likley to be able to use that program. In which case I would try Kodo's other suggestion

If it is another physical drive, you may be able to take the drive out and recover the data using another machine.

It seems D: (partition) has FAT32 fsystem and that is removed............is there any way i can get that back?
