I'm stuck at 38%

I use Avant browser, and when I load a page, it gets stuck at 38%. I have to try to load another page, and then go back to the one I was originally trying to load to get it to work. Sometimes that doesn't work.

I'm connecting with a 56K dialup
windows XP
1.2GIG process/512MB ram (just upgraded ram. Yay!)
raedon 9200 128mb graphics card

I ran adaware, spybot, and NAV2004...they didn't find anything. Any other suggestions?

I didn't know if I should post this here, or in software. Sorry if I hit the wrong placce.

 

I've found that Avant is a huge resource hog.. have you tried MyIE2 instead?

 

No, I haven't. I'll give it a shot though

Thank you, but I found it. I didn't like it. I came back to reply but all of the reply/quote buttons were gone. lol I'll just keep trying different browsers. Thank you for the suggestion.

 

Next thing I would try is Mozilla or Opera.

If you still want a browser that uses the IE6 engine (like Avant and MyIE2), try Slim Browser.
