I got my Playstation 2 for £15 a few months ago,I'm working my way through the top 20 or so games for the PS2 on the Gamespot list,I only bought the thing for Gran turismo 3-4 "I've almost finished 4 now" and metal gear solid 2-3 I've finished 2 but my copy of 3 is scratched so I'm hunting a fresh one halfway through the game rolleyes

After I've got a cheap copy of Twisted Metal and finished that I'll sell and get my £15 back:-D Then I'll borrow my brothers PS 3 for the latest Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo,Hey Big spender!

You must have had some Good Times on your Nes Aimee to buy another but if you've never completed Mario Bros it was worth buying just for that game and Super Punch out.

One of my favorite games for the PS2 I can remember was Need For Speed 2 Hot Pursuit. I loved just going on a a long course 8 lap race and having that helicopter dropping exploding barrels all over the place.

Wasn't it awsome:) MGS 2 was a bit of a let down for me as the whole game was basically one big level on a sea platform thingy,MGS3 is awesome though just wish my disk worked:cry

How much is that in real money? (pounds sterling.) I might buy it and donate it to the British Museum. ;)

Ha! All you lot talking 'bout your big bad racing games. Nothing comes close to Centipede. :)

The thing about Gran Turismo is you would be going 100 MPH and it would feel like 20 and you would attempt to turn and just not be able to

although still a very good game :cool

I can't play driving games for shit. I'm useless. Gave up years ago. The boy is a smug little smegger, however, and delights in telling me at each opportunity how much better than me he is.
I also can't drive, either. Apparently. The wife also takes pleasure at telling me how much better at it she is than I am. Yeah, right.
@ Rikky. The graphics in GT5 are fantastic and all that, but I'll still be crap at it. You can't polish a turd. :)

I have GT5 Prologue, and it's awesome, I can't wait for the full PS3 release. My favorite game for ps2 has to be Sniper Elite by a long shot. It's hard to find, but I have a good copy.

If you have a scratched copy of a game, try taking it to somewhere that sells used games, and see what it would cost to have it refinished. I'm pretty good in with a guy at Blockbuster, which if someone doesn't know, is a place that rents movies and games. They have pretty good machines there to take scratches out, and you might luck out, for the cost of a new game, and the trouble locating an old one, it might save you quite a bit.

I love my PS3, I don't know which kind of games I like best for it yet. I have Grid, another racing game, and it's awesome, nice damage engine. I also have Saints Row 2, FEAR 2, man I can't think (that's not a game)..... Brothers in Arms, Hells Highway and probably one or two more that I can't think of.

I want to get the new Fight Night when it comes out, it has Mike Tyson on it, so I'm wondering if there is a bite mode or not haha..

FEAR 2 is a creepy game, it's awesome but my daughter won't let me play it when she's awake... :(

I think GT5 is probably a much better game if you fork out the money for a wheel, and a good one... I would like to see a flight sim come out, and even a cock pit or something you could buy for it.

I've had it refinished three times but the scratch is still there, its way deep but thanks:)

Maybe I should get the belt sander on it:-D I've played prologue at my brothers,I was really impressed with the video but the game play could be smoother, the engine is right on the limit.

I have to be a little mad that they are going to suck people in for two full price games for Gran Turismo honestly, but whatever they really are good games. It's easy to forgive since Prologue gave me something to hold myself over until the full release and was a beautiful game to watch and incredibly fun to play.

I know what you mean, although I do hope that when I go spend $60 on GT5 I get to use the cars I have worked for on prologue. I think I'd be upset if I spent $100 on GT5 with both versions, and had to start over, it's not as though all the cars work for all the tracks, at least the option would be nice. I'm sure there's going to be more vehicles on the full version. I am excited though, I'll have it pre-ordered when I can.
