image copy

    I want to make a full image copy of my laptop so if it crashes i can replace everything...Can anyone tell me what i need ''software'' cd's' ..i have a external HD ..but don't know what to can anyone help...

    Drive Image XML, Image for Windows/Dos, Linux dd to name but a few.

    Personally, I like Image for Dos. Drive Image XML can be run from a BartPE or UBCD4Win disc. Linus dd from a Linux Live CD.

    All the above software can be run from bootable CDs with no need to install.

    Need to have USB2 on your laptop or get a 2nd hard drive caddy.
