    Hello,

I have a desktop from HP
    model : 590-P0053W

    Running :
    windows 10 64 bit home

    CPU: Intel 9100f
    graphics card: evga 730 gt
    same as below
    https://www.evga.com/products/specs/gpu.aspx?pn=412e84ed-2f05-4f5b-8411-3d64a921494e

Here is the problem, the image on my desktop is stretched out , and not when it boots into windows this is even in bios which is painful because i cant select or see certain settings.

I was able to install the operating system just enough for me to be able to update the bios. I thought since this cpu released after this pc was built maybe it would have issues but after updating the bios it still did nothing.

Things to note: i do not have a cpu compatible with this desktop that has integrated graphics
I do not have another GPU i can try compatible with this desktop

The cpu ( 9100f) lacks integrated graphics so I MUST use a GPU

Again the bios is difficult to maneuver through because of everything being all the way to the right.

I thought perhaps maybe selecting something in the PCI-e security section of the BIOS may help but I don't even know what to press because and i can't see much of the screen or what i am selecting
    Any ideas/help?

    thanks

Did it used to display properly?

It could be a setting set in the monitor's OSD (on-screen display) menu. My Samsung's for example, have a "Image size" setting. On mine the options are Auto and Wide. Yours may have others.

The OSD menu also typically has a Reset to return it to the default settings.

    Are cables tight and secure?
Can you try this monitor on a different computer?
How about another monitor on this computer? Note that most TVs support computer input too.

The pc did display properly but before it was using an intel cpu that had integrated graphics ( i wasn't using a video card).
Unfortunately I no longer have this CPU

There is no settings on my monitor(s) causing conflict
Nothing wrong with the cables ( tried multiple too)

Monitor works fine with different computers
Different monitors have same issue with this hp 590 computer , in fact the hdmi and dvi ports don't seem to work on the video card no matter what monitor i am using ( only vga works).

I think there is perhaps a setting in the BIOS that i am missing but since the image is so stretched out to the right side i can't even see most of the settings within BIOS.
Funny thing is after just random clicking when launching into windows 10 i managed to update the drivers , BUT this only fixed the issue when the PC launches into windows,
The issue remains in bios or before it launches into windows.

Since the HDMI and DVI ports don't seem to work on the video card even after trying multiple monitors i am inclined to believe the issue may be the video card.
All the spare video cards I managed to find in my drawers are too old and won't work with this PC ( they just show a black screen)

Right now I am trying to find the cheapest video card compatible with this desktop to be able to use it.
Buying CPUS that don't have integrated graphics are a pain to mess with if video card fails or is faulty ..

Well with different monitors doing the same thing - it sure points to the computer or graphics solution.

Not sure what else to suggest at this point in time besides a cheap card. If you could see what you were doing, you might be able to set up remote access then see from anther computer. But not sure that is possible now.
