Images not Displaying on Mozilla?

Hey guys. i know we have a FAQ of images not displaying in IE, but i keep getting an error on mozilla firefox. images come out fine in IE, but no in my mozilla firefox ...its only some sites also.but i tried the same site on IE and it works fine... suggestions?

 

I don't have a fix for that, but I had an image occurance with firefox too.
I had a jpeg issue recently when I updated firefox. It hijacked all my jpeg
settings. Suddenly the jpeg setting showed a mozilla icon. And changing the
setting back to the normal icon wouldn't work. I deleted it and downloaded it
again and it did the same thing. Finally I deleted it for like two weeks.
I then downloaded it one more time, and everything has been fine.
So methinks that there might be some inherent image issues with firefox.

 

oh..thats weird...the images not displaying just occured earlier today though....

EDIT - just tried reinstalling mozilla..nothing happened

 

Did you by chance make any adjustments in tools>options at
the top of firefox? In the "Web features" part there, you will find
a box to check for load images, and also one for original site only.
If both of those are checked, you might not see some images....

 

By the way, you want load images checked, just not the box
that says "for the originating web site only"

 

yea it was originally on that setting and it still doesnt work

 

Well it would be worth trying to uninstall in and reinstall it just to see....
Plus if you haven't updated recently, by downloading the newest version
you would kill two birds with one stone if it worked.

 

yea i have 1.0.6 and i tried uninstalling and reinstalling ..its weird because it only happens to sites i visit frequently..other sites work fine

do you have adblock? or similar extention that could have been misconfigured?
