imap gmail issue with outlook

Managed to setup outlook to have imap gmail, and had no send/receive errors in outlook, but emails failed to d/l from gmail..any ideas?

 

Double check your settings in gmail, and outlook.

 

Eventually got sorted, and corrected settings.
This is for my dad, and we can't see deleted items (in the gmail area on outlook 2003), there in no such folder, though on my outlook 2010 I have such....how do i rectify for his outlook 2003?

 

Still have the deleted items folder missing in the gmail section in outlook 2003, and not shown online on gmail account....how can I rstore and enable deleted emails to be out there?
