Importing Firefox/PaleMoon bookmarks to other browsers

I recently dumped Firefox in favor of PaleMoon which is identical to Firefox except that it's optimized for the Windows OS (I started a thread here), and now PaleMoon has all my FF bookmarks, but is it possible to import these into Maxthon3? It has an option to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer, or from other browsers via an HTML list. How do I generate an HTML list of my bookmarks/favorites from PaleMoon/Firefox? Or how else would I import my PM/FF bookmarks into Maxthon3?

BTW - Is Maxthon built on the IE base, or is totally 'unique' in that it isn't built on IE, FF, Opera, Gecko, or anything else?

(I recently also dumped Opera as my 'back up' browser and decided to try Maxthon3)

I remember a free software "Transmute" that Halo suggested in post #2 in this thread: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=223589&highlight=transmute It lets you transfer bookmarks from one browser to another. Haven't tried it yet though and therefore don't know what browsers are supported.

EDIT: Bummer, doesn't support Maxthon browser. http://www.gettransmute.com/standard/faq/

I'm exporting from Firefox in to Maxthon, so the encryption is not a problem. I just have to remember to not create any new bookmarks while using Maxthon.... shouldn't be a problem, I only use it as a 'back up'....

    Thanks everyone for the info!
    :-D

Maxthon is based on the Internet Explorer engine.
Essentially, it IS IE with a different interface.

I was searching for posts about Palemoon, which is how I came across your post.
Just installed Palemoon 3.6.12 and did the migration thing.
I like it. It is faster than Firefox.
Speed is one of the reasons that I have always preferred Opera as well as a few features
that can not be duplicated in Firefox.
