    Hi

Ive had to replace my old laptop I used to help with drumming practice. This new system at max volume just isnt cutting it. Its fine with CDs, I use VLC Player and that has a built in override of the system sound levels so I can crank it up to a decent level. But for youtube or Googles free metronome I'm lumbered with the system volume which just isn't loud enough.

Any suggestions for ways I can get the system volume up to 11? My drum tutor suggested I get a little amp and control sound levels there. Or possibly better headphones with a volume control. I just wondered if there was an app or something that would give me more control on the laptop itself.

Edit: The laptop is running Windows 7

I agree with your drum tutor.
Or find an older Hi-Fi with an Aux In.
FYI I have my Windows 7 PC (line out) connected to a music center (aux in) that was purchased in 1980.

I run a Yamaha DTX522K into my Win10 through Superior Drummer 3 Software!

Needing a cheaper sound solution, I purchased a Logitech Z623
which was a great solution for the price. (the sub is excellent)
Also found that plugging the headphones directly into the Z623 itself, rather than the kit module or PC, was more than enough in volume and keeps the neighbors happy! :)
