in birthdate information

I am getting ready to apply for social security and need my exhusbands birthdate or social security number. I have been divorced for over 15 years and haven't spoken to him since. I don't think he would be willing to talk to me or help. Where can I find this information on-line without having to join some site.

 

been there too. divorce records are public information on your states info site. however I don't know if that info will be included. if it was only 15 years ago you should be able to find out quite a bit. sure you don't know a relative of your ex that would at least know his birthday? or some record of a credit card account that both of you had jointly? or bank account records ? talk to social security and see if they will accept a divorce decree date, if you know that. that is what the VA and social security accepted from me to get me going. all I remembered about my ex, after nearly 30 years was her name.

 

Marriage Liscences might also have one or the other. If you have any children the date could also be on the birth certificate.

 

The Social Security Office should be able to access all that for you. At least they do or used to in California.
