First let me say Thank You! and Second I do well to turn the computer on so please be very step by step...
Month ago I installed a new video card on my system, it seemed very standard...as stated in subject I play EQ and WoW..while in game the system froze...no mouse movement nothing...got it going again and it rebooted... these freezes, blank black screen or restart are random I can be on for hour and nothing or 5mins and poof...friends in game told me to look at my power supply and make sure it was not running hot..I discovered my power supply was 230watts and video card call for min 300watts..I got a new ps 500watts w/2 fans..(sys has one fan on mb that is funneled out side and one fan on back to pull air out of case)...again the same freezes ..blank black screen or the restarting of the system..I am at a lost at this point I have read it seems thousands of links, sites, and threads:eek: ..here is the specs from my system and I hope I do this right...
    Again Thank you

What's the brand & model of your new psu?

Ideally, the case is cooled by a front intake & a rear exhaust. Your case seems to have no instake fans.

It seems that your pc has an overheating issue that occurs when it is running under stress in game.

    psu is a turbolink atx-cw500p4

case is clear of anything around it...i have also tried pulling the side off with small fan pulling air from inside the case (also did this to be able to see the fans working in case one was not)

I also want to say that I did updated the cards drivers when installed...this was not happening with my old video card which was Nvidia Geforce2 64mb pci, in case you wanted to know

What about a side fan mount? Use that as intake. Does the front bottom have holes for ventilation?

What's the brand & model of the 6200? It should be printed on the card.

So you're saying this problem has started since you got 6200?

Front of case has vent holes...if the case is close there is a funnel mounted on side that goes straight to the fan on the motherboard (so it blows out the case and not into the case..then there is the fan on the back for the case itself..and finally the psu has its own fans one out the back and one under it..
    e-GeForce 6200LE 256mb ddr2 agp
and yes this started after i got the new card..
