In need of MAJOR help!!!!

    What is the best program you can recommend for removing unnecessary programs running in the background or starup items (whether free or not)?

    Also are there any FREE antivirus programs you can recommend that stay up-to-date? I downloaded AntiVir Guard from here, but apparently I have things like the "Cuydoc virus and it didn't detect it. HELP PLEASE!!! :eek:

    It is easy enough to update with the free programs like AVG. If you do it once a week you should be pretty safe although the com. programs do it daily sometimes.
