I am hoping someone may have come accross a similar problem to this as it is driving me nuts. a short while ago i put a new hard disk in my system as a system disk. i rebuilt the system and as far as i knew i set up my profile as i had previously had it. yesterday i tried putting my old disk in as a slave which worked no problem but when i come to access certain files instead of the normal black colour for the file names some are green and i am unable to access them. i tried signing on as administrator in safe mode and changing the auhtority of the files but still can't access them is there any way to change the authority so that i can say the are now owned by me on my new system

I don't know that you can, I have never encrypted any files so really not the best one to advise you on that. It might be something else, wait for some other ideas or suggestions.
